Sitka Wonders is a new and growing company redefining tourism in Sitka, Alaska. By combining immersive media with experiential tourism, we create unforgettable experiences that connect visitors to the natural beauty and unique ecosystems of this incredible place. Position: Ticketing and Sales Coordinator
Location: Sitka, Alaska (Booth outside the Coliseum Theatre in downtown Sitka)
Employment Period: May 1 – September 30, 2025

Schedule

  • Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Sunday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $20-25.00 per hour based on Experience
  • Performance Bonus: Earn bonuses by meeting daily ticket sales targets. Details will be discussed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell tickets for Sitka's Hidden Wonders film and engage visitors in conversations about the experience.
  • Manage the point-of-sale system for both ticket and merchandise sales.
  • Stock and organize merchandise, ensuring the display remains tidy and appealing.
  • Provide friendly, helpful service to visitors, answering questions about Sitka’s wildlife and attractions.
  • Be a positive and approachable face for Sitka Wonders, creating an unforgettable visitor experience.

Qualifications

  • Prior customer service experience is required.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a major plus.
  • Local knowledge of Sitka and its attractions is preferred.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light merchandise boxes.
  • Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
